Any Malaysian company that wish on having foreign staff work employment must apply and obtain either of two EMPLOYMENT PASS or a PROFESSIONAL VISIT PASS. We are providing consultancy service for professional work permit – who are classified as Expatriate. There are 3 categories available for professional or skill foreigners to apply work permit in Malaysia.
EMPLOYMENT PASS I REQUIREMENTS :
Top Managerial Post of a foreign owned company operating in Malaysia
Employees’ Basic monthly salary is at least RM 10,000.00
Up to 5 years of valid employment contract in Malaysia
Proof of highest educational certificate or equivalent working experience
Spouse and Children (below 18 years old) are eligible for Dependent Pass
Renewable based on certain requirements
EMPLOYMENT PASS II REQUIREMENTS :
Professional/Middle Managerial Post
Employees’ Basic monthly salary is between RM 5,000.00 and RM 9,999.00
Maximum 2 years of valid employment contract in Malaysia
Proof of highest educational certificate or equivalent working experience
Spouse and Children (below 18 years old) are eligible for Dependent Passes
Renewable based on certain requirements
EMPLOYMENT PASS III REQUIREMENTS :
Highly skilled
Employees’ Basic monthly salary is between RM 3,000.00 and RM 4,999.00
Maximum 1 year of valid employment
Proof of highest educational certificate or equivalent working experience
Spouse and Children (below 18 years old) are NOT eligible for Dependent Pass
Can be renewed 2 times at most (subject to review)
Needs approval from the KDN (in Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs)
Employers must had the following requirement to apply their professional or skill foreigners:
Minimum capital requirement 100% of local (Malaysian) RM 250,000.00
Joint ownership of foreign and local RM350,000.00
100% foreign ownership RM500,000.00
Distribution of merchantability and RM1,000,000.00 restaurant possession of foreign
Foreign-owned companies (foreign equity at 51% and above) operating in the Wholesale, Retail and Trade (WRT) sectors (mandatory requirement to submit valid WRT approval letter, if applicable). Please refer to the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism for WRT license application guideline.
Foreign-owned companies (foreign equity at 51% and above) involved in the sub sectors on unregulated services are required to refer to the Services Industry Division, Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism on the application guideline to obtain approval.
